Is there any other way to have my new Korg TR76 play midi seuqences aside form a laptop. It takes too long to load them one at a time. Understand that I am new to using sequences. For 13 years I used backing sequences on my Korg i2, which of course is an arrangner keyboard, which uses styles.
I guess what I am asking is what is a cheap and simple midi controller, if I am using the right term. I do not want to do a lot of tweaking. I am a lead guitarist as well as a full time keyboard player, so I don't want too much going on behind me ... simple is fine. I am new to this and very openminded, so kindly let it fly. I am no strnager to computers or software, but I am new to midi and midi software, but look forward to learning.

do you want to write your own midi,s or just play them to see how they sound?does your korg use midi0 or midi1 files, and does it have a removable storage card,or is it a hard drive?can it access usb2 via a cable to your computer?also does your korg have an inbuilt amp or is it just a contoller/keyboard? .i know these are a lot of questions, but not having seen one before it isdifficult to understand what you want to achieve.mostly we all use mid,s that we put in a program like:cubase, cakewalk, evolution which we can access the file and alter to suit our own tastes.if this is what you want to do.there are site where you can buy a controller/keyboad cheaply, and will come with a program bundle with it.i use cakewalk music creater3 which was around £39.but the one i like best for ease and simplicity i use evolution sound studio pro2,this came with a cheap controller, and will do anything! hope this helps steve
