Hi All I want to pick your Brains today, I've put a request on the midi requests section for the above song, looked all over the net for info on it, seems to be recorded by Margo, Sean Wilson and others, but for the life of me I can't find out where Glenore is?  I thought it was in the North of Ireland but can't find anything on maps etc, And knowing what a clever lot you are,  I'm hoping you can help out here ;D It's a Great one for St Patrick's Day, does anyone fancy having a go at making up a midi for it, if it's not available anywhere? There is a Glenore Garden Centre in Co Mayo. Not, sure if this is what you mean, though.

Hi Pat I found that too, but I assumed Glenore was a Place, do you think they would write a song about a Garden Centre . I also found Glenore Coaches in Dublin. Glenore does not seem to be part of the address of the Garden Centre, just in the name. Jacqui |

My dear Jacqui, there is four or five places called Glenore in Ireland, you probably would'nt locate them on a regular map as these are called "Townslands" which are small areas of maybe a couple of houses. The Glenore in the song is, i believe, from Glenore in Cork. Hope that helps in your quest!!  |
