Thank you Alan for the reality check. Speaking of unique avatars would it be possible to give some hints on how to go about designing ones own ? I could be wrong, but I seem to remember you mentioning something about this before but can find the topic. Any advice would be appreciated. |

Pat, I have both Adobe PhotoShop and Jasc PaintShop Pro. The Jasc software came bundled with a proggy called Animation Shop and that is my primary tool for animated gifs. In preparing to answer your question re: designing one's own, I attempted to jump on Jasc's web site. I was surprised when I ended up on Corel's site. Evidentally they have bought out Jasc. Unfortunately, I could find no reference to Animation Shop or anything like it.  I will snoop around & see if I can find anything like it f/ another company. There is a post of mine stickied under "How to on the forum" offering to do custom avatars. And Pat, you're a 'uachtarach diúlach' yourself {Hope I got that right!  } |

Looks good, though ;D Thanks Alan for the Adobe info, that is most helpful. By the way, I have Adobe Photo shop but can't make head nor tail of it, preferring instead my old Picture It 7 Mind you, perhaps I should try and get into it more as it sounds like the biz. |
